Benefits

MEDICAL, RX, and VISION Coverage

Saber provides a broad range of benefits in its health care package, which includes medical, prescription drug, and vision coverage to care for our regular fulltime employees and their families. A national preferred provider organization (PPO) administers the Medical, Rx, and Vision benefits, providing you with access to a nationwide network. Deductions for this plan are taken on a pre-tax basis. These deduction amounts represent the employee portion of the premium; Saber pays the remaining 80% of the monthly insurance premiums for all eligible employees.

DENTAL

A national preferred provider organization (PPO) program administers the Dental benefits, providing you with access to a nationwide network of qualified dentists — visit any dentist or specialist you want.

FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS

Eligible employees can elect to contribute to a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) account effective the first of the month following date of hire. Employee’s voluntary contributions are deducted from the employee’s paycheck on a pre-tax basis. A Healthcare FSA can be used for eligible medical expenses for you and your eligible dependents. Employees can also set up a Dependent Daycare FSA for qualified dependent daycare and elder daycare expenses.

401(k) RETIREMENT PLAN

This optional tax-deferred retirement plan allows eligible employees contribute up to the IRS maximum allowable percentage of salary (pre-tax). Saber matches employee contributions up a fixed percentage of your contributions. All contributions are immediately vested.

LIFE AND ACCIDENTAL DEATH and DISMEMBERMENT INSURANCE (AD&D)

Saber provides term life and accidental death & dismemberment insurance coverage for all full time regular employees.  Saber pays the full insurance premium for all eligible employees.

SHORT TERM DISABILITY

Short Term Disability provides an earnings replacement for up to 90 days for a medical disability available to regular, fulltime employees. Coverage is effective the first of the month following date of hire.  Saber pays the full insurance premium for all eligible employees.

LONG TERM DISABILITY

Long Term Disability provides a monthly earnings replacement for medical disabilities that extend beyond 90 days.  Saber pays the full insurance premium for all eligible employees.

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential benefit that can assist you with problems that interfere with your day-to-day activities.  Such problems as interpersonal hardships, conflicts at work, financial or legal concerns, stress management, or alcohol/drug abuse may be addressed through your EAP services.  Saber pays the full premium for all eligible employees.

EDUCATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

We want our employees to continually challenge and improve themselves.  Saber provides generous support for many certifications and educational/training programs. 

PAID TIME OFF (PTO)

PTO allows employees to take time off at their discretion with management approval. Regular fulltime employees are allowed the following time off with pay:

Accruals begin on the first day of regular employment, but employees are not eligible to use PTO until the introductory period of 90 days has been successfully completed.  Part-time employees who are eligible for other company paid benefits will accrue PTO at the rate of 4% of the total hours worked within each full month.  PTO is cumulative to 160 hours.

Saber observes the following seven holidays per calendar year:

When holidays fall on a weekend, paid time off is provided on the Friday or Monday immediately adjacent to the holiday.
