Saber Continues to Garner Contracts in the State Election Market

Saber’s successful track record gains New York’s and Colorado’s confidence

Portland, OR – October 2006 –Saber Corp. has been awarded the Centralized Voter Registration System Implementation contracts for the states of New York (NYSBOE) and Colorado (SCORE II). The state of Colorado, having unsuccessfully tried for compliance through another vendor prior, selected Saber to undertake the challenge of implementing SCORE II.

The wins were significant because these were the first states to award after the January 1, 2006, Help America Vote Act (HAVA) implementation deadline. Compliance to which was mandated by the Federal Government after the controversies surrounding the 2000 Presidential election. Needless to say, Saber’s track record in successfully meeting the HAVA deadline with its existing states, had a strong and favorable influence.

These two wins amount to over $20 million and solidify Saber’s dominance in the Voter Registration and Election Management Software arena. Having implemented systems that were used to successfully conduct the 2006 elections in 10 states, Saber’s election project successes now total twelve states and the company anticipates continued success in securing more in the coming year.
