The Saber Child Care Management System (CCMS) is one of the most widely implemented child care systems in the market today. The system was designed to help organizations that operate a subsidized child care program achieve the highest levels of operational efficiency, funding from the Federal government, and end user satisfaction. The principles that the latest version of the system are constructed on are as follows:
- An Enterprise Level Architecture that is based upon a service-oriented architecture, Web services, and open standards. Additional program areas can be added to the system architecture easily extending the existing services, data stores and support functions, with minimal changes to existing components.
- Help organizations Maximize Program Funding through the collection and reporting of accurate, consistent information in the system.
- Provide a strong set of Self-service Functions for Providers and Clients to be offered in order to decrease the dependence on case workers and to increase the overall satisfaction with the system.
- The ability to Change Significant Operations of the System Without Programming Support. Many of the operations of the system can be changed through configuration, role specification and business rules.
Over $3.5 billion dollars has been managed through CCMS to date. During this time, Saber has assisted clients in meeting Federal and State reporting requirements in a timely and effective manner. Our understanding of effective and efficient business practices of Human Services has been successfully incorporated into the solution suite. Some of our clients are running several of their ACF programs (Subsidy, Pre-K, and Head Start) through the Saber child care management system, so that non-duplicate reporting is properly facilitated.
